Over the past few years, we have seen at both a local and national level unprecedented attacks on the values and beliefs that we hold dear. As we fight to maintain biblical Christianity in both church and family, we can be encouraged by the examples of our fathers in the faith who fought the same battles in their day.
Join us for the Heroes, History & Hope Tour this coming April! We will be remembering the heroes of the American church throughout her history.
This tour will be conducted in three stages. The first stage will be held at Princeton Theological Seminary. We will examine the foundations and vision that formed this institution. From there, we will make our way to the Princeton Cemetery, where Charles Hodge, Benjamin B. Warfield, Samuel Miller and many others of great significance have been laid to rest. At each of these gravesites, Dr. Marcus J. Serven and his two pastoral interns will recount some of the stories which make up the legacy of these giants of the faith. Finally, we will visit the gravesite of Jonathan Edwards. This will begin the second stage of our journey.
From the gravesite of Jonathan Edwards in Princeton, our second stage will take us to New Haven, Connecticut. Here, we will stop at several historic sites pertaining to the life JonathanEdwards. As we continue to learn about the powerful impact Jonathan Edwards had on the American church, we will visit his birthplace in Windsor, Connecticut. As the second stage of our tour ends, we will visit the church where Jonathan Edwards’ father served for many years.
The third and final stage of our tour will take us to Plymouth, Massachusetts. Here we will spend several days learning about the men and women who endured great sacrifice for the cause of Christ and His Church.
We will visit places such as: Plimouth Plantation, the Mayflower II, the Pilgrim Hall Museum, and many other historical sights.
Finally, we will stop at the famous Forefathers Monument in Plymouth. At this memorial to the courage and convictions of our spiritual forefathers, Dr. Serven will elaborate on the significance of this monument and explain some of the intricate details.
Please consider joining us as we embark on this exciting trip to remember our spiritual forefathers of the faith!
